"Doing mission work in developing countries became my inspiration for writing the children's book Something More Special. My intention was to give the book to each orphaned child with whom I worked in those countries. That intention expanded to founding the Children Empowered by Love organization-- thereby sharing the book's message of love and the beauty of diversity to "at risk" children everywhere. My goal for this organization is that our two books' universal message of love will uplift each child's self esteem."
